Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. – Colossians 3:16
The purpose of our Church Choir is to enrich, inspire, motivate and engage the community in hymns and sacred songs in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist and other liturgical celebrations. They lead the congregation in worship, and through this form, prayer is expressed in a more attractive way.
Holy Family Church Choirs provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gifts and be an integral part of the worship service. They deepen their understanding of Catholic worship by making themselves familiar with the liturgy of the Holy Catholic Church.
Hymns are selected for the Liturgy with special attention given to the liturgical season and specific liturgical celebration. They gather seasonally to rehears as the Church liturgical year requires, with most of it being center around the Advent and Lent Seasons.
*We do not allow any outside musician, mariachi, bands, etc. to play during scheduled celebration as they might not be familiar with the liturgy of the Catholic Church. Because of liturgical knowledge and availability, we have appointed our Organist to be the main person to play for our scheduled celebrations (i.e. Weddings, Quinceañeras, Wedding Anniversaries, Funerals, etc.)
Holy Family Church Choirs
Here at Holy Family we are home to a few Choirs that assist the assemblies and lift up their hearts and voices in song.
